Moreno Valley Man Faces Marijuana, Weapons Charges | Temecula, Murrieta and Hemet Criminal Defense Attorney

A Moreno Valley man was arrested in early January after police allegedly found weapons and dozens of pounds of marijuana in his residence.

According to the Press-Enterprise, the 29-year-old man was arrested Jan. 9 after authorities raided his residence and found 53 pounds of marijuana, sawed-off shotguns, two pistols and paraphernalia to make "concentrated marijuana," or hashish ("hash" in street lingo).

The Riverside County Sheriff's Office said it conducted the raid after learning that someone might have been selling marijuana out of the residence in the 11900 block of Sugar Creek Court. A hazardous materials team had to be called in because some of the material used to allegedly prepare the drugs that the man was allegedly selling or planning to sell is highly flammable.

The man now faces charges of manufacturing hashish, possession of unregistered firearms, being armed in the commission of a felony and possession for sales of marijuana.

Now, with charges like that, the man is in a very dire legal situation indeed. He will need the assistance of a skilled criminal defense attorney to make sure that if he is convicted and sentenced, he is not made to pay for more than the crimes he committed.
