2011 FBI Crime Stats for Temecula Show Increase in Violent Crimes

At the end of October, the FBI released the 2011 crime statistics for Temecula, CA. These new figures show a 28% increase in violent crimes as compared to 2010. Property crimes also showed a small increase of 2%. According to the report, nationwide violent crimes were down by 3.8% during 2011, with a total of 1,203,564 violent crimes having been committed. That breaks down further to approximately 386 violent crimes for every 100,000 U.S. inhabitants. The state of California reported 154,944 violent crimes in 2011, 95 of those were committed in Temecula. Of the 973,901 property crimes committed in California in 2011, 2,406 of them were committed in Temecula.
